Social media users shared a picture of Marsh sitting on a chair with the World Cup prize under his feet after his team won. Many Indian cricket fans didn’t like Marsh, and a social activist from Aligarh asked the police to file a case against the Australian player for disrespecting the prestigious prize.
The person who made the request sent a copy of the FIR to Narendra Modi, the prime minister of India, who was the top guest at the World Cup. He asked the prime minister to make it illegal for the bowler to play in any game in India.
