He is expected to begin training in November and may return to the first team in December or early 2024. Ayman Benarous is also dealing with an ACL injury.

The athlete should be back in training in October. Andi Weimann has been dealing with plantar fasciitis. He is not seriously injured, but his situation is being monitored.

Taylor Gardner-Hickman is ineligible to play against his former club in non-injury news.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. Escapes His Burning Car in NASCAR

NASCAR legend Dale Earnhardt Jr. experienced a dramatic turn of events during the NASCAR Xfinity Series Food City 300 race at Bristol Motor Speedway. Earnhardt was on track for a top-5 or top-10 finish, if not a win, with 30 laps to go.

However, disaster struck as smoke suddenly filled the cockpit of his car, followed by a massive fireball. Earnhardt quickly realized the urgency and needed to evacuate. Fortunately, John Hunter Nemechek’s crew members rushed to his aid and pulled him to safety. His fire suit and racing boot were singed, although he appeared uninjured.

The cause of Earnhardt’s DNF (Did Not Finish) was listed as “ignition.” He ultimately finished 30th.  Earnhardt had been optimistic about his performance and potential victory before the unexpected fire incident. Justin Allgaier emerged as the winner of the race.

Ex-Rovers Centurion Joins Yeovil Town in a One-Year Deal

Former Bristol Rovers right-back Michael Smith has returned to the West Country. He has signed a one-year deal with Yeovil Town, a National League South team.

The 35-year-old Northern Ireland international is known for his 19 caps and a goal against Germany. He had been a free agent for two months after leaving Scottish Premiership club Hearts at the end of his contract.

Smith previously enjoyed a successful stint with The Pirates. He made 114 appearances and earned accolades twice as the club’s Player of the Season.

His time with the Gas ended in 2014 after they were relegated from the Football League. He had a trial with Cheltenham Town earlier in the summer. Smith has now embraced a return to football at a lower level with Yeovil Town. The club once competed in the Championship and has experienced several relegations in recent years.

However, it currently sits sixth in the National League South. Smith joins them with hopes of contributing to a promotion campaign.
