Shadab Khan, a spin bowling all-rounder for Pakistan, said on Sunday that the World Cup will be won by the team with the best bowling unit that can stop the runs on India’s batting-friendly pitches.
Team with best bowlers will win World Cup, predicts Shadab Khan
The 24-year-old is in charge of Pakistan’s spin attack, which has gotten a lot of bad press for not getting wickets in the middle overs. The first warm-up game for the event was on Friday, and Pakistan lost to New Zealand by five wickets. They play Australia in their second warm-up game on Tuesday, also in Hyderabad. Three days later, they play the Netherlands in their first World Cup game at the same site.
Even though fast bowler Naseem Shah hurt his arm, Shadab says Pakistan still has a world-class attack. Shadab Khan only took six wickets in five Asia Cup games last month, and four of them were against Nepal, an outsider team. Pakistan lost in the Super Four stage of the event.
Shadab, on the other hand, thought that Pakistan’s bowling could make a comeback at the World Cup, which starts on Thursday.
“It’s been a superb welcome. People coming to the hotel and their hospitality has been fantastic.
“The food is delicious. I fear our fat levels and weight will go over the limit!”
He added: “Hopefully, we get the same hospitality in Ahmedabad when we play India,” said Shadab of Pakistan’s high-voltage game against their arch-rivals on October 14.
