The Chiefs are slated to wear white pants with red helmets and the 49ers gold pants with gold helmets, according to USA Today. The Chiefs won 31–20 in Super Bowl 54 in 2020 at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, wearing the same uniforms. Kansas City will play in its sixth Super Bowl with a good home record.
The Chiefs have won Super Bowls 4 and 54 under the red uniform, losing Super Bowl 55 to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. They lost to the Green Bay Packers in the first Super Bowl but defeated the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl 57 in white clothes. San Francisco 49ers, who will play their eighth Super Bowl, won Super Bowls 16 and 24 in white outfits. Three straight wins over the Miami Dolphins, Cincinnati Bengals, and San Diego Chargers have the Niners wearing red more. The only red loss was Super Bowl 47 to the Ravens.
