In a video on his new Instagram story, he says, “Never put me in a situation where I have to show you how mean and cruel I can be.” You might find me to be the nicest and sweetest person you’ve ever met, but don’t test my patience. When I get angry, I’ll do things no one thought I could do.
Based on the story, some people think that Shaheen is angry at the people who are said to have helped get rid of him as the leader of the national team.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) named Babar Azam as the white-ball captain of the national team on March 29. The Green Shirts’ five-match T20I series against New Zealand starts on April 18.
In a statement, the board said that the change in captaincy was a “strategic move” to ensure the health and success of all the players. The decision showed that the PCB was determined to protect the players’ long-term health, especially the fast bowlers.
It is important to know that Shaheen was named the team’s T20 captain after Babar quit the top job in November 2023 because the team did poorly in the 2023 Asia Cup and the ODI World Cup.
