For medical advice on his ailments, French football sensation Karim Benzema has returned to Real Madrid, his previous team, according to Al Arabiya.

The 36-year-old star of Al Ittihad is leaving his team for a while, but he will be back next week.
“Benzema is undergoing further examination in Real Madrid’s clinic with his former doctor in Spain, who supervised his case in previous years,” the Jeddah-based club said in a statement on X.
The statement further said that Al Ittihad and Real Madrid had mutually agreed to the talks. “Benzema missed important matches this season” due to his injuries, the Al Ittihad statement claimed.
Last June, Benzema signed a three-year contract with Al Ittihad after departing Real Madrid following a 14-year stay.
His abrupt departure coincides with ongoing Saudi Pro League games; Al Ittihad, who are sixth in the league, is scheduled to play Abha on Friday.
How Benzema fits in the team’s plan for the remaining games is yet unknown.
