Sarfaraz Ahmed leaves Quetta Gladiators as captain
Before the ninth season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL 9), Sarfaraz Ahmed quit as captain of the Quetta Gladiators.
He quit the job because coach Shane Watson told him to, according to reports. He will also play in the PSL 9 tournament.
Sources also said that Rilee Rossouw was named captain of the team and that Saudi Shakeel, a left-handed batter, will be his assistant during the event.
It is worth remembering that Gladiators won the PSL trophy in 2019 with Sarfaraz Ahmed as their leader. They also made it to the finals in 2016 and 2017.
