Muhammad Hafeez, who used to be captain of the Pakistan cricket team, quit his job as head of the national team on Thursday.
It was said that Hafeez’s deal had ended on December 15. He asked for an extension on the deal, but it wasn’t granted. He has now quit his job as head of cricket because of this.
Several news sources say that he was told by board members that his services would not be needed any longer soon.
Even though Hafeez tried to get in touch with the right people, he did not get a positive answer either.
He also got a message from CEO Salman Naseer telling Hafeez that the chairman doesn’t want to give him more time as a director. Instead, he wants to hire foreign coaches who can come up with new ideas.
