The News reported that Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar has told the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to come up with a full plan. For setting up the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 9 cricket matches across the country. Monday, the premier led a meeting to talk about the board’s business. Officials told him that the cricket league would start in February 2024, with games in Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Multan.
During the meeting, PM Kakar stressed how important it was to put the country’s interests and pride first when choosing PCB trainers, support staff, and officials. He also said that the elections for the board’s Management Committee should be run smoothly. Emphasized that cricket was an important part of bringing the country together and boosting national spirit.
PSL 9: PM PCB to organize matches across Pakistan, says Kakar
People must work together to be successful in every area, and the prime minister said that the Pakistan cricket team could do great things if they worked together. He also stressed how important it was to get people in remote parts of the country interested in the sport.
The prime minister said, “There is a lot of great cricket talent in Sindh, Balochistan, South Punjab, Gilgit-Baltistan. The newly combined districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Azad Jammu & Kashmir that should be given a chance to play for their country at the national level.”
He also said that the Gwadar Cricket Stadium and the Nagar, Gilgit-Baltistan. Nissan Stadium should be changed so that cricket games can be played there. In addition, Kakar told the board to do an immediate inspection of Pissan Stadium.
He also asked that a plan be made for building new cricket stadiums with modern amenities. As well as hotels and shopping areas that meet international standards to attract tourists. He also made sure that the four cricket grounds in Islamabad were given to the PCB so that cricket could grow. People in the meeting were told that the Cricket Champions Trophy would be held in Pakistan.

PM Kakar and the other people at the meeting were told that the country’s cricket associations had grown from six to sixteen. It would bring attention to the best players in the region. In addition, cricket facilities are being built in Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Gujranwala, Peshawar, and Bahawalpur.
Solar energy is being used to power Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, National Stadium in Karachi, and Multan Stadium. At the meeting, people were also told about the steps being taken to support women’s cricket in Pakistan.
