PSL 9 is about to begin tomorrow

The celebration will begin at 630pm with performances by Arif Lohar, Natasha Baig, pop band Noori, and PSL 9 anthem singers Ali Zafar and Aima Baig. Fireworks and a laser show will also delight fans. Karachi, Lahore, Multan, and Rawalpindi will host 34 matches of the showpiece event. The details say Lahore stadium would host nine matches, including five Qalandars matches at home.

PSL 9 is about to begin tomorrow

Five Multan Sultans matches will be played at the scenic Multan Cricket Stadium. The league opener will take held in Lahore and Multan from 17–27 February before moving to Karachi and Rawalpindi.

Pindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi will host nine matches from March 2 to 10, with United playing five. Quetta Gladiators will play three matches at the Pindi Cricket Stadium, while Peshawar Zalmi will play four of their 10 matches there.

Karachi’s National Bank Stadium will host 11 matches, including the finale on March 18. Gladiators will play at least three matches at the stadium, while Karachi Kings must play five.

Captains’ thoughts

United captain Shadab Khan stated, “I have been captain of Islamabad United for the last four seasons and I want to lift the trophy for my team this season.” The franchise benefits greatly from Imad Wasim and the Shah brothers. Our team relies on Faheem Ashraf and Azam Khan. My squad should step up and win in big games.”

He claimed they had assessed their mistakes from previous season and were eager to execute their plans well this time. Kings skipper Shan Masood said: “To represent and lead my hometown team Karachi in the PSL is such a huge honour.”

“Karachi Kings is rebuilding, and we want to build a core group of young players who can serve the franchise for five years.”

He believed they had a good chance since the tournament’s final round was in Karachi.

Shaheen Shah Afridi: “I am genuinely excited to be leading Lahore Qalandars for the third consecutive season in PSL. The hunt for a hat-trick of titles makes me eager to do well.”
He stated they were hoping for a third PSL triumph and would play with the same vigour as in the prior two seasons.

He added, “Lahore Qalandars are proud of our strong fan base and our games in Lahore will be jam-packed. Sultans skipper Mohammad Rizwan said: “PSL is a world-class league and we are all proud to be a part of it.”

He noted that Multan’s pacers and young players have dominated the previous two seasons, helping Sultans do well. Rizwan claimed they had a quality squad this season and will maintain standards.

“Over the last two seasons, Multan crowds have given us a lot of love. We hope they will again support us this year,” he said.
