The Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) has gotten rid of the Pakistan Hockey Federation and put all its leaders on leave. According to the notice, the sports board should be in charge of checking out teams nationwide. The statement says that the PHF election process, overseen by the PSB, should be done as soon as possible in a clear way.
All Asian Games operations have stopped, except for managing the camps and teams. The selection committee will still work, though. Earlier, Muhammad Tariq Qureshi, the head of the Sports Board of Punjab, said that promoting hockey, a national sport, was the government’s top concern.
