Following rumors of various foreign players coming up for the ninth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), it has officially been verified that Imad Wasim has been exchanged by the Karachi Kings for Hassan Ali from Islamabad United.
Wasim, who led Karachi to their first PSL triumph in the fifth edition, has been signed under the Platinum category by United. Hassan, who played for Islamabad previous season, will join the Karachi Kings in the Diamond division.

“By virtue of this player trade, Karachi Kings have received Islamabad United’s first round silver pick in exchange for their second round silver pick,” said a statement from the Pakistan Football League.
It also mentioned Mirza Tahir Baig of Lahore Qalandars, Rumman Raees of Islamabad United, and Mir Hamza of Karachi Kings.
Commenting on the move on X, Imad stated that his “very special journey” with the Karachi teams had come to an end and thanked the fans and management for their support during his tenure with the organization.
“It’s time to start a new chapter. I’m quite delighted to be visiting my hometown team, Islamabad United. It’s an amazing franchise with amazing people,” Imad added. He stated that he will do his best to repay the trust placed in him by Islamabad United, Shadab Khan, and owner Ali Naqvi.
