Babar Azam followers in India want Pakistan to beat Afghanistan

Indian cricket fans look forward to seeing the Pakistan cricket team do well against Afghanistan. They are wearing Pakistani gear that has Babar Azam’s name and shirt number on it. Green Shirts are fifth in the ICC Men’s World Cup 2023 points table after four games. They have won two and lost three.

Pakistan had a few tough games after starting the tournament with big wins over the Netherlands and Sri Lanka. Those wins set a record for the most successful chase in the event’s history. India played Pakistan in Ahmedabad, which was a hostile setting for the cricketers. However, a lot of people are expected to be in Chennai.

A reporter in the Indian city talked to some of the fans outside of the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium. When asked who they thought would do well today, one fan said, “Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan will play well.”

He was also sure that Pakistan would win today after losing to India and Australia back-to-back.

Another fan who was waiting to go inside was asked why he was cheering for Pakistan. He said, “Abdullah Shafeque and Shaheen Shah Afridi.”

Pakistan is going to win today. “Pakistan, we love you”

A different fan hoped for a good game today: “Afghanistan play good cricket in those conditions.”

His prediction, though, was that Babar Azam’s side would win today.
