First, Hamza won 11-3, then he lost 5-11 and 9-11, but then he came back to win 11-5 and 11-7. A one-hour and three-minute match ended with Hamza victorious by scores of 11-3, 5-11, 9-11, 11-5, and 11-7. Tomorrow, he will face Finlay Withington of England in the semi-finals (Monday). The 16-year-old has shown tremendous promise as a professional squash player and is widely regarded as Pakistan’s most promising up-and-comer. It all started in January 2020, when Hamza took home the U1-5 title in the British Junior Squash Championship.
