On Wednesday, 11th August 2021, Babar Azam, the captain of the Pakistan Cricket Team announced a 19-member Test squad for the two ICC World Test Championship fixtures against the West Indies. So, the test series between Pakistan and West India will be from Thursday, 12 August 2021 at the Sabina Park of Jamaica.

A couple of days ago boys of the Pakistan Cricket Team landed in Jamaica. They started their preparation for the upcoming test series. Henceforth, you will see Pakistan playing against West Indies in the two ICC World Test Championship fixtures, programmed in Jamaica.

On Wednesday, 11th August 2021, during a pre-series press conference held via video link, Babar Azam, the captain of the Pakistan Cricket Team announced a 19-member Test squad for the two ICC World Test Championship fixtures against the West Indies.

Babar Azam (captain), Mohammad Rizwan (vice-captain) (wicketkeeper), Abdullah Shafique, Abid Ali, Azhar Ali, Faheem Ashraf. Fawad Alam, Hasan Ali, Imran Butt, Mohammad Abbas, Naseem Shah, Nauman Ali. Sajid Khan, Sarfaraz Ahmed. Saud Shakeel, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Shahnawaz Dahani, Yasir Shah, and Zahid Mahmood.

Babar Azam Statements Before Test Series 2021

“It has been agreed to release Haris Rauf and Mohammad Nawaz so that they can return to Pakistan and spend quality time with their families.”

“This will also give them a few extra days to relax, regroup and recharge for the commitment ahead, which commences with the series against Afghanistan.”
