Suryakumar Yadav dominated again in the shortest format to try to win again after winning in 2022. In another fruitful year, Yadav scored 51 (36) and 112* (51) in the next two matches after his first innings of seven against Sri Lanka. His 20s to 40s scoring continued, and an innings of 83 (44) against the West Indies in Providence showed his class. Performance to remember
Suryakumar scored 112 off 51 balls against Sri Lanka in January, hitting nine sixes and seven fours. So, practically a boundary every three deliveries, with his inside-out drives and brilliant play behind the wicket.
His first boundary came on the fourth delivery of his innings, and he reached three figures in 45 balls. Also, India won by 91 runs after Rohit Sharma’s 35-ball century against the same opponent in 2017.
