Shaheen Afridi undergoes MRI
A team spokesman announced on the fourth day of the first Test against Sri Lanka in Galle that fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi is ill. A spokeswoman verified that an MRI scan was performed on the left leg of the left-arm fast. A representative for the team revealed that Shaheen suffered a leg injury while playing fielding.
The initial recommendation was that he apply ice. The cricketer, though, required an MRI after his symptoms persisted. Management still has not received the results of Shaheen’s MRI. Pakistan’s batsmen began their last innings responsibly on the fourth day of the first Test against Sri Lanka, advancing to 68 without losing a wicket by lunch while chasing a daunting goal of 342 runs.
