Due to Cristiano Ronaldo’s muscular injury, Al-Nassr’s scheduled tour of China has been abruptly canceled. Ronaldo will not be able to play in the matches against Shanghai Shenhua and Zheijang, according to Goal.
Ronaldo apologizes as Al-Nassr cancels China tour due to injury
With the intention of rescheduling these friendly games at a later time, the decision has been made to postpone them. Ronaldo informed supporters that the tour has not been completely canceled and that he is still planning to visit China in spite of the setback, saying, “Don’t be sad because I am sad and I hope you understand the circumstances of a football player.”
Ronaldo may miss a few weeks due to the injury, which could have an impact on his participation in the Riyadh Cup match versus Inter Miami. It would also prevent him from seeing longtime rival Lionel Messi again.
During their mid-season break, Al-Nassr is rearranging their schedule. They will play Inter Miami, led by Messi, on February 1. A week later, they will play Al-Hilal. Finally, on February 14, they will play Al Feiha in the AFC Champions League.
Ronaldo, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner, expressed his sentiments on the unfortunate turn of events, acknowledging the disappointment of fans and emphasising his longstanding connection with China: “I have played 22 years in football and I am a player that doesn’t have too many injuries. So I’m really sad because Al-Nassr and myself have come to China to enjoy the tour. I have been coming to China since 2003/2004, so I feel at home here – my second home.”
