Mohammad Rizwan, leader of the Multan Sultans, was happy with his team’s run to the finals in the ninth season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). In an exclusive interview with Cricket Pakistan, Rizwan talked about how his team was the underdog at the start of the event and how no one thought they would do well.

Even though he thought Islamabad or Quetta would be the best team, Rizwan praised Multan’s great play on the field, where both the hitters and bowlers came through when it mattered.
“Look back, no one gave our team such high marks at the start.” Even though I made my own guess, I still think that Islamabad or Quetta will be the best teams because of Hasaranga. However, the way our team has done on the spot. They came through when hitters and bowlers were needed. “Even the new boys who joined us have done so well that Multan has become everyone’s favourite,” Rizwan said.
On the other hand, Islamabad United, who were known to be a strong team from the start of the game, also made it to the finals. But Rizwan stressed how important it was to perform well on the day of the match, saying that past successes only boost confidence and that daily consistency is key.
“From the start, Islamabad’s team has been strong. But I think what counts more is how well they play on the day of the match. It’s good for security to know what happened in the past. “But you have to do it every day,” he said.
The Sultans’ journey is their fourth time in the PSL playoffs, which shows how well they’ve played and how tough they’ve been all season. In Karachi on March 18, the tournament’s last game, Sultans will play Islamabad United.
