Bowler Naseem Shah was fined 10% of his match fee by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for violating the Pakistan Super League’s (PSL) code of conduct during Sunday’s encounter against Multan Sultans at the Pindi Cricket Stadium. Naseem Shah punished for kicking stumps against Multan Sultans.
The famous Naseem was accused of breaching Article 2.2, which addresses the mistreatment of cricket apparel, ground equipment, fixtures, and fittings. The statement said that Naseem had kicked the stumps following the last delivery of the Multan Sultans’ innings.
Due to the pacer’s guilty plea and acceptance of the sanctions recommended by match referee Roshan Mahanama, a formal hearing was unnecessary. So, Umpires Ruchira Palliyaguruge and Muhammad Asif, who were present on the field, levied the charge of code of conduct violation.
Multan Sultans were punished for slow over-rate in a second incident that occurred in the same match. After reviewing the Sultans’ progress and considering the allotted time, referee Mahanama determined that they were one above their goal. According to the PSL Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, Article 2.22, each player was fined 10% of their match fee.
