Pakistan beat Bangladesh easily on Wednesday at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore in a Super 4 match for the Asia Cup 2023. Bangladesh had set a low goal of 194 runs, which Pakistan easily beat. There were a lot of people at the stadium to cheer on the national team in their last match on home turf. Men in Green played the last match of the Asian tournament’s Pakistan leg. Pakistan’s run chase was easy, and they only lost three wickets.

Opener Imam-ul-Haq led the winning team with 78 runs off 84 balls, including nine fours. Mohammad Rizwan came next and scored 63 runs for his team. When Fakhar Zaman was taken out by Shoriful Islam for 20 runs, Pakistan had a hard time at the start of their turn. Mehidy Hasan Miraz had scored a very important hundred in the match against Afghanistan. This gave the home team an early break. The Bengal Tigers kept losing wickets, and in just 9.1 overs, they were down to 47/4.
After that, Mushfiqur Rahim and Shakil Al Hasan, two experienced players, put together a 100-run combination that helped their team get a good score. Hasan was out for 53 runs when Faheem Ashraf took him out. Haris Rauf soon got rid of Rahim, too, in 64. After Rahim was out, Rauf got rid of Taskin Ahmed with the next ball. Naseem took the last two wickets for Pakistan. Pakistan and India won their spots in the Asia Cup Super 4 from Group A, while Bangladesh and Sri Lanka did the same from Group B.
