For the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in Australia in 2022, Pakistan made one change, switching Fakhar Zaman and Usman Qadir. With Usman sent to the bench, Fakhar has been added to the starting lineup of 15.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) confirmed the news, saying that Qadir is still recovering from a hairline fracture on his right thumb sustained in the T20I against England on September 25 in Karachi.

There is no way to choose the leg-spinner before October 22. The team management will evaluate Fakhar’s fitness on October 17 and 19 during the two warm-up matches against England (October 17), and Afghanistan (October 19), both of which will take place in Brisbane after Fakhar and Shaheen Shah Afridi arrives there from London on Saturday.
