The Eden Gardens stadium’s player’s locker room caught fire late Wednesday evening during renovations for the ICC World Cup 2023. According to media accounts, a dressing room fake ceiling short circuit triggered the incident. The room’s players’ kits burned. However, people repairing the venue promptly informed the management, which contacted the fire department, which sent two engines to put out the fire.
