In the year 2021, Pakistan’s strike bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi has taken 8 matches 42 wickets at an average of 17.92. While Hassan Ali has taken 7 matches 39 wickets at an average of 15.66.

If the number of Test wickets of the two bowlers is combined then 81 wickets are taken respectively. While the other 19 wicket-takers include Naseem Shah, Tabish Khan, Muhammad Abbas, and Faheem Ashraf. National cricket fast bowler Hassan Ali bowled Bangladeshi Mushfiqur Rahim to give Pakistan the honor.
It may be recalled that Shaheen Afridi and Hassan Ali have also taken 10 wickets in a Test match in 2021. Earlier in 1993, Pakistan had taken the highest number of 99 wickets in a year. While Wasim and Waqar had taken 83 wickets.
