Both the POA and the PSB have agreed that they will focus on sports whose players have failed drug tests in the past. Weightlifting, athletics, and kabaddi players were named as examples. Some athletes and weightlifters at the 34th National Games, which were held in May 2023, tested positive for drugs.

This has made it hard for the Pakistan Weightlifting Association to deal with this problem. Sources also said that the players’ drug tests are set to start this weekend. The Olympics will take place in Hangzhou from September 23 to October 8.

Pakistan will take part in archery, athletics, bridge, badminton, boxing, cricket, climbing, e-sports, fencing, golf, hockey, kabaddi, karate, rowing, sailing, shooting, squash, swimming, tennis, taekwondo, table tennis, volleyball, weightlifting, wrestling, and wushu. Pakistan won’t be able to take part in important sports like Judo, Equestrian, Baseball, Football, and Gymnastics.

Because of money problems and delays in confirming entries, Pakistani players won’t be able to take part in these sports.
