Pakistan-India 2024 T20 World Cup match at New York
From there, the top two teams from each group will move on to the semi-finals, where they will face off for the championship. The rivalry between Pakistan and India is one of the most important in cricket, and no big event is thought to be complete without a match between the two countries.
In the same way, they will play each other again in the T20 World Cup 2024. International Cricket Council (ICC) will soon announce where the much-anticipated match between the two most hated teams will take place.
The site is likely to be built in Eisenhower Park, New York, about 30 miles east of Manhattan and close to Long Island. Once the negotiations between the ICC and the officials of New York City are done, the news will be made soon.
ICC’s first plan was to build the ground in the Bronx, but after getting a lot of pushback from people who live near the park and a cricket league that is based in the same park, they changed their minds.
It’s important to remember that the last time Pakistan and India played each other in an ICC event, it was at the famous Melbourne Cricket Ground in the T20 World Cup 2022, where Virat Kohli played one of the most memorable games to help the struggling Blues win.
Before that, the two teams played in the T20 World Cup 2021 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Led by Babar Azam, Pakistan beat India for the first time ever in an ICC event, with the Green Shirts winning by a stunning ten wickets.
