A statement released on Wednesday said that the PCB Medical Panel received the x-rays of both players yesterday. After looking over the reports and consulting with the Pakistan team management, it was decided that both players would not play in the T20Is against New Zealand on Thursday or Saturday.

“The PCB Medical Panel at NCA will now help the two players get better,” it said.

Remember that Rizwan’s leg hurt during the third T20I against New Zealand on Sunday in Rawalpindi.

The first player to be ruled out of the series before the first T20I was Azam Khan. This is the third big blow for the hosts. He was having pain in his right knee and leg muscle. Azam had an x-ray that showed he had a Grade One tear in his right leg muscle. He was then told to rest for 10 days.

At the same time, Haseebullah, a wicketkeeper and batter, was chosen to take his place. Please remember that the last two T20Is in the series will be played on April 25 and 27. At this point, the series is tied at 1-1.
