After three straight losses, Shan Masood’s team bowled first and restricted Quetta to 118, chasing it down in the 16th over.
The pursuit began poorly when Mohammad Amir dismissed Shan (7). Tim Siefert and James Vince had other ideas. The 50-run stand was aggressively called by Seifert.Akeal Hosein beat Vince (28) but Siefert keep playing shots while Shoaib Malik stays until the end. Siefert was one run shy of fifty while Malik was unbeaten on 27.
Before that, Hasan Ali took four wickets and gave up 15 runs. Blessing Muzarabani fired Jason Roy (15) to open Karachi’s account. Hasan Ali dismissed Saud Shakeel after he and Khawaja Nafay had scored 47 runs for the second wicket in 36 balls. Shakeel led Quetta Gladiators with 33 runs off 28 balls, including two fours and two sixes.
Ali once again removed Nafay (17) in the same over, causing Quetta Gladiators to collapse after the double-wicket loss. After this, captain Rilee Rossouw played a cautious 10 runs from 16 balls, while Akeal Hosein’s fast 14-run cameo in 13 balls with a six.
Karachi Kings’ tight bowling left Quetta Gladiators at 118 in the penultimate over, having been 65-1. No other batsman could survive. Hasan Ali led Karachi Kings’ bowling assault with 4-15, while Muzarabani and Zahid Mahmood each took two wickets.
