Corey Anderson chosen to USA’s T20I squad against Canada

The USA has put together a 15-person team for their five-match T20I series against Canada. Corey Anderson, a former New Zealand international, has been added to the USA team to play Canada starting April 7. As a warm-up for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024, the co-hosts will play five T20Is against their neighbours. The tournament starts on June 1, 2024.

Anderson last played for the Black Caps in 2018, but he can now play for the USA because he moved there when Major League Cricket (MLC) was announced. Over 900 runs have been scored by the 33-year-old in 28 games at a strike rate of 146 in Minor League Cricket (MiLC), the development league for Major League Cricket (MLC).

Harmeet Singh, who used to play for India’s U19 team. Nitish Kumar, who was captain of Canada, and Andries Gous and Shadley Van Schalkwyk. He used to star in South Africa’s local league. Unmukt Chand, who won the U19 World Cup as captain for India, was noticeably left out of the team even though he has scored the most runs in MiLC history since it began in 2021.
