Aakash Chopra praises Rizwan at Asia Cup 2023

Aakash Chopra, a former Indian cricket player and well-known analyst, praised Pakistan wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan for his great innings against Bangladesh on Wednesday in Lahore, which is part of the Asia Cup 2023. Pakistan reached its goal of 194 runs in 39.3 overs thanks to the right-hander’s unbeaten 63 off 79 balls. Pakistan beat Bangladesh by seven wickets in their first Super 4 match. On September 10 (Sunday), they will play India, their biggest foe, in Colombo.

If the rest of the Super 4 matches are rained out because of bad weather in Colombo, Pakistan will get four points and be in the final. In the event of rainouts, Sri Lanka and India will both have three points and the same Net Run Rate. Because of this, a coin toss will be used to decide which team will play in the final. Bangladesh will only have two points, since they have already lost one Super Four game, and won’t be able to make it to the final. If the final on September 17 is also rained out, the prize will be shared.

“Mohammad Rizwan – I like this player a lot. He is a warrior and he keeps fighting. The more pressure you put on him, the more he flourishes. Whether you play him in T20Is, ODIs or Tests, somehow whenever Pakistan are struggling, it brings the best out of him,” Chopra said on his YouTube channel.

“Here also he stayed till the end and won them the match. He played very good sweeps and danced down the wicket to hit over cover. He plays spin extremely well and he has a very good pick-up shot against fast bowling. So, Mohammad Rizwan is actually a very, very good player,” the former cricketer added.
