Asia Cup 2022 | Ex-player criticises PCB after Pakistan’s Asia Cup humiliation

After Babar Azam’s team lost to Sri Lanka in the Asia Cup final, former pacer Sikandar Bakht was very harsh on the PCB’s management. Bakht said that the team didn’t have a game plan. So, the management had to rethink how to prepare for the Twenty20 World Cup in Australia. Sri Lanka won the Asia Cup 2022 that was a warmup for the ICC tournament that starts next month.

Sri Lanka was supposed to host the tournament but had to back out because of political unrest. By 23 runs, Sri Lanka beat Pakistan and won their sixth straight Asia Cup. Bhanuka Rajapaksa scored 71 runs without being out. And both with the bat and with the ball, Wanindu Hasaranga made important contributions.

Pakistan was bowled out for 147 while trying to score 171 in Dubai. Fast bowlers Pramod Madushan (4-34) and Hasaranga worked together to do this (3-27). Fans and former cricket players were upset when the Pakistani team, which was expected to win the Asia Cup, lost the game.
