Pakistan qualifies for the knock-out stage of the World Junior Squash Championships

Pakistan has advanced to the quarterfinals at the World Junior Team Squash Championship. Thus, they finished first in Group C after winning all three matches. On the opening day of the competition, Pakistan defeated Guyana. They advanced to the next round after beating the Netherlands and Hong Kong on day two. On Thursday, Pakistan’s national team participated in two matches.

So, they opened with the Netherlands and followed up with a match against Hong Kong. They were faultless in both games. Pakistan played Hong Kong after a resounding victory over the Netherlands. The three Pakistani boys, Hamza, Ashab, and Noor Zaman, all maintained their undefeated record with straightforward wins.

In the first match, Ashab Irfan defeated Tsz Shing Tam 11-1, 11-6, and 11-2. After that, Zaman won three straight games by scores of 11-5, 11-6, and 11-7 to put his team up by two points. In his match against Jat Tse, Hamza dropped the first game but bounced back to win the following three and assist Pakistan to take first place in their group. Scores were 4-11, 11-6, 11-9, and 11-4 overall.
