Mohammad Yousuf, who used to play cricket for Pakistan, is in the running to be the permanent batting coach for the national team. The choice was made after Yousuf was fired from his job as batting coach at the National High-Performance Centre (NHPC) in Lahore, Pakistan. The NHPC will be looking for a new batting coach in the near future. The Pakistan Cricket Board has not yet confirmed this information, though (PCB).

Former Australian batsman Matthew Hayden has been hired as a batting consultant for the next T20 World Cup, which will be held in Australia later this year. He will no longer be working with the national team, though. Reports say that Pakistan’s head coach, Saqlain Mushtaq, asked for him to be hired as a temporary batting coach for the country’s two home games against Australia. He is now part of Pakistan’s Test team in Sri Lanka, where they won the first match of a two-match series against the hosts.
