Pakistan captain Mohamamd Rizwan is close to beating Sarfaraz Ahmed’s record for wicketkeeper-batsman fifties in Australia.
In the second of the three-match ODI series on Friday at Adelaide Oval, Pakistan will try to tie the series. If Rizwan scores a fifty or more, he will surpass Sarfaraz, Moeen Khan, Kamran Akmal, and Saleem Yousaf.
Sarfaraz Ahmed leads with six fifties in 27 innings, followed by Akmal with four in 42. In Australia, Moeen Khan hit three fifties in 35 innings and Saleem Yousaf three in 21. Rizwan has six fifties or more in 30 innings and is one fifty away from beating Sarfaraz Ahmed for the title. His debut match against Australia yielded 44 runs off 71 balls.
