When Are Peshawar Zalmi Open Trials?

Pakistan Super League (PSL) team Peshawar Zalmi said Friday that it will organise open trials at the Arbab Niaz Stadium to bring cricket back to its hometown. This announcement comes as stadium development continues ahead of the 10th PSL. This milestone excited the 2017 PSL champions, who posted on social media.

According to Peshawar Zalmi, authorities from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government visited Arbab Niaz Stadium today to evaluate stadium construction ahead of #HBLPSLDraft.

“We’re thrilled to announce that we are bringing cricket to our home soon, kicking off our #HBLPSL10 campaign with open trials on 1st January at the iconic Arbab Niaz Stadium in Peshawar,” the statement said. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Syed Fakhar Jahan said the construction would finish by February 15 during the visit.

He told reporters the site would be ready for PSL matches, emphasising the government’s commitment to finishing the project on time.

Jahan was joined by Peshawar Zalmi director and former Test cricketer Mohammad Akram, Director General of Sports Abdul Nasir, and other stakeholders. The minister expressed pleasure with the progress, added that finance would not be a problem, and voiced optimism about holding PSL matches in Peshawar next year.
