However, Australia led by Pat Cummins outclassed Rohit Sharma’s team, losing by six wickets and shattering the hearts of millions of people all throughout the nation. For the first time, Suryakumar, one of just three ODI players chosen for the T20 squad, will lead India as captain. Prior to the World Cup, Australia and India had also played a three-match series in September.
