In the match being played at Sharjah Cricket Ground, the captain of the English team Ian Morgan decided to field after winning the toss against South Africa. In the allotted 20 overs, South Africa managed to score 189 runs.

Van der Dawson and Eden Markram played aggressively to lead the African team to 189 runs, both playing 94 and 52 innings respectively. Moin Ali and Adil Rashid took two wickets for England.

Earlier, England captain Ian Morgan, while deciding to field before winning the toss, said that a change has been made in the team and Mark Wood has been included in the team instead of Time Mills.
