In Pakistan’s tri-nations opener against Bangladesh on Thursday at Hagley Oval in Christchurch, star all-rounder Shadab Khan became the team’s joint second-highest wicket-taker. Since making his debut in 2017, the vice-captain in short format has taken 85 wickets in 69 innings, averaging 21.55.

The 24-year-old achieved the feat during Pakistan’s 21-run victory over Bangladesh Friday morning, sending back Tigers captain Nurul Hassan in the process. Legendary Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi tops the list with 98 wickets, followed by Umar Gul and Saeed Ajmal with 85 wickets. Mohammad Hafeez, an ex-Pakistani all-rounder, is currently in fifth place with 65 wickets.
