The usual window of PSL since 2016 is February to March but due to clashing schedule with IPL, the cricket board has decided to prepone the PSL 2022 series in January to February window. Matches will be played after Australia’s Cricket Team tour to Pakistan.

After avoiding a clash with IPL, the schedule is still clashing with BBL, and because of that many international players will be busy with other series. Since two PSL series, Covid-19 has very much the flow of the super league. Most matches of the 7th edition of PSL will be played in Karachi and Lahore cricket stadiums, respectively. Finals will be played at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
