After spending five days in isolation in Lahore and Abu Dhabi, the Pakistani team will spend a further ten days in isolation in Derby before departing for England and the West Indies. Pakistan’s team for the England and West Indies tours will meet in Lahore on June 20.
Three ODIs and as many T20 internationals will be played against England, while five T20Is and two Test matches will be played against the West Indies. The squad members’ first Covid-19 tests will take place on June 16 in their hometowns. Their arrival test will take place on June 20 in Lahore’s bio-secure bubble.
According to a PCB statement, “Squad members will undertake their next COVID-19 test on June 23 and then fly for Manchester on June 25 on a chartered flight from Lahore.” According to accounts, the athletes are unable to bring their families on the tours.
After completing their seclusion in Derby, the Pakistani team will head to Cardiff for the first ODI on July 8 against the host team. The players of the ODI squad will return to Pakistan on July 15 after finishing the three-match ODI series against England.
On July 21, the team will go to the West Indies, where they will be joined by Pakistani Test players on July 26. The five-match T20I series will be contested between the two teams from July 27 to August 3, following which the T20I players will return to Pakistan.
