In a media interview after a Governor’s House event, he said players who can’t handle pressure may not be useful. Khan slammed Pakistan’s batting lineup following their first Test 10-wicket loss to Bangladesh.
He stressed that ruminating on past failures was pointless. He emphasised Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, and Shaheen Afridi on the team. He noted that everyone saw the pitch conditions.
Khan also questioned the PCB Chairman’s statements on domestic talent. Domestic cricket had talent, he said. Khan also questioned the need for continual domestic structure modifications over the previous decade.
He chastised the PCB for adopting English or Australian systems, which he claimed caused instability. Khan recalled that the team won the World Twenty20 and Test championships during a time when international cricket was not played in the country. Pakistani cricket had its greatest challenges during the time.
