Pakistan’s Arshad Nadeem wins CWG gold.

Arshad Nadeem is the best javelin thrower in Pakistan. On Monday morning, he brought home a gold medal from the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, which is still going on. In the first round of the javelin throw final, Nadeem threw 86.81 meters, a new world record. Arshad broke his record with an 88-meter throw on his second try. On his fourth try, he threw an 85.09-meter throw to stay at the top of the list. On his fifth try, the athlete threw 90.18 meters, a new CWG record that made him the first Pakistani to hold the mark. Arshad Nadeem beat India’s Neeraj Chopra’s World Athletics Championship and Tokyo Olympic throws of 87.58m and 88.13m, respectively.

This is Pakistan’s second gold medal at the 2022 Commonwealth Games. Pakistani weightlifter Nooh Dastagir Butt won gold at the last Commonwealth Games by lifting 405 kilograms. Nadeem thanked everyone in the country for praying for him after his historic victory.

“Allah (God) gave me a gold medal because the people of the country prayed for me,” he said.

Even though his elbows and knees were hurt, Nadeem was happy to have won the gold medal. I did like the doctors I worked with while I was getting trained. The famous athlete also thanked Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) for giving him the facilities. India’s Neeraj Chopra, who was also there but couldn’t play because he was hurt, was also missed by Nadeem. Nadeem was a key figure in the Commonwealth Games, and he also asked his country to give athletes facilities that are on par with the best in the world. “I’ll also get a medal at the Islamic games that will be held in Turkey,” he said.
