Pakistani Olympian Arshad Nadeem gears up for World Athletics Championship
In order to compete in the World Athletics Championship in the United States, Olympic javelin thrower Arshad Nadeem has traveled there. Oregon will serve as the host for the competition between July 15 and July 24. The qualifying round for the javelin throw will take place on July 21 and the Pakistani athlete will be competing. Arshad spent six months training at Punjab Stadium with coach Salman Butt and Dr. Asad Abbas before he left for the United States. An elbow injury Arshad suffered while training in South Africa. After the Commonwealth and Islamic Games, Pakistan Athletics Federation (PAF) head Akram Sahi promised Arshad that he would get elbow surgery. Immediately following the World Athletic Championship, Arshad will head to Birmingham to compete in the Commonwealth Games. Then, he’ll hop on a plane to Turkey to compete in the Islamic Games.
