Pakistani athletes qualified for final in Commonwealth Games

Arshad Nadeem and Jamshed Ali, two Pakistani athletes, will compete in the finals of the Commonwealth Games. This is because the qualifying stage was skipped because not enough people signed up. A Pakistan athletics official told in Birmingham that Arshad Nadeem (javelin throw). Plus Jamshed Ali (shot put) will not be competing in their Commonwealth Games qualifying rounds.

The manager of the Pakistani track and field team, Sadaf Siddiqui, said that Jamshed and Arshad will both compete in their finals right away. Siddiqui said that both of their athletes would play their best in the finals. A source said that there were only a certain number of spots for each event, so the qualifications were cancelled. At first, the qualifying dates for shot put and javelin throw were August 3 and 5, respectively. Arshad Nadeem has also said that he won’t play in the qualification and will instead be in the final on August 7.
