When Pakistan batted first in the final match, they had a steady opening partnership of 64 runs in 10 overs. The team got 137 runs but lost five wickets. With 43 runs, Sidra Ameen was Pakistan’s top scorer, and their captain added 25. New Zealand’s start in the chase was good, even though they had already lost the series.
Suzie Bates hit 51 runs off of just 42 balls without being out, and Amelia Kerr hit 35 runs off of 31 balls. When the game was called off early because of rain, the Kiwis had scored 101 runs and lost two wickets in 15 overs. What DLS says is that the hosts won the game by six runs. It was Sadia Iqbal and Nashra Sandhu from Pakistan who each got one wicket. Dar became the first player in Pakistan to play in the most T20 matches when she played her 141st game.
Bismah Maroof used to hold this record, having played in 140 T20 Internationals. It was Fatima Sana who won the player of the series award and Bates who won the player of the match award. During the ODI series of the ICC Women’s Championship, the two teams will play each other. The first game will take place in Queenstown on December 12, and the other two will be held in Christchurch on December 15 and 18.
