The Pakistan Volleyball Federation has officially selected 14 players to represent the country in the next Asian men’s volleyball championship. Thus, the tournament is set to take place in Iran from August 19 to 26. Per a representative from PVF, 14 players will be accompanied by 7 officials, and their departure for Tehran is scheduled for August 11. Irfan Nawaz Butt will assume the team’s managerial position, while Brazilian individual Issanaye Ramires Ferraz will fill the head coach role. Assistant coaches for the travelling party have been appointed, namely Ehsan Iqbal and Muhammad Ismail Khan. Also, Lucas Ferreira Rodrigues, a Brazilian individual, has been appointed as a physical trainer for the team.
Additionally, Armin Golkari, hailing from Iran, will assume the role of Video Analyst for the Pakistan Volleyball team in Tehran. Based on the official draws of the 2023 Asian Men’s Volleyball Championship, Pakistan has been assigned to Group F, alongside South Korea and Bangladesh.
Plus, if Pakistan successfully qualifies, they are scheduled to compete against Bangladesh on August 20 and Korea on August 21 before the subsequent round of matches.
The players selected for the continental event include Mubashar Raza, Usman Faryad Ali, Afaq Khan, Murad Jahan, Nasir Ali, Bilal Khan. Hamid Yazman, Mohammad Kashif Naved, Abdul Zaheer, Mohamamd Hammad, Musawer Khan, Murad Khan, Farooq Haider and Dianat Ali.
