This is not the first time the PCB has planned to begin ODI matches in the evening.
Pakistan hosted Australia in the United Arab Emirates in 2012. All three One-Day Internationals began at 6 p.m. local time and ended at 1:45 a.m. (local time). PCB also intends to take precautionary measures to protect players from the effects of the heatwave. The International Cricket Council (ICC) allows two drink breaks per session. But umpires may allow additional breaks due to extreme weather conditions. Pakistan and the West Indies will play three one-day internationals (ODIs) in Rawalpindi on June 8, 10, and 12. However, suppose the political situation in the federal capital worsens due to the PTI’s call for a long march at the end of May. In that case, the series may be played at Multan Cricket Stadium.
