Pak vs SA: Pakistan’s Rizwan completes 2,000 ODI runs
In Pakistan’s World Cup game against South Africa in Chennai on Friday, Mohammad Rizwan scored his 2,000th one-day international run. The 31-year-old reached the personal milestone when he hit the first ball of the game over the fence off of fast bowler Marco Jansen.
Pakistan had chosen to bat at the Chidambaram Stadium. Rizwan has scored a lot of runs in this World Cup. Before the South Africa game, he had 302 runs. Quinton de Kock of South Africa is at the top of the batting order with 407 runs before Friday’s game.
Following closely behind are Virat Kohli (354 runs) and Rohit Sharma (311 runs). In third place is David Warner of Australia, who has scored 332 runs in five games.
