These extra security personnel would be on hand throughout the national players’ travels. Everytime players leave the hotel, fans have surrounded them, including captain Babar Azam. Some offensive films have come out of England as a result.
After PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi requested it, the England Board sent security personnel. Notably, today at Sophia Gardens in Cardiff, Pakistan will play England in the third Twenty20 International of the four-match series.
While the first Twenty20 International was called off because of weather, England won the second one. Pakistan has to win this match and make a big comeback, failing which they would lose the series.
About the weather in Cardiff after Leeds, it is now raining sporadically, but it should clear up two hours before the evening game.
Babar Azam and company chased a 184-run mark in the second Twenty20 International encounter, but were knocked out for 160. In their previous eleven Twenty20 Internationals against Pakistan, England had won eight.
With the aid of three fours and five sixes, left-handed batsman Fakhar Zaman scored an amazing 45 runs off just 21 balls for Pakistan in a losing cause. Second-highest run-getter Babar Azam scored 32 runs on 26 balls.
Even though Iftikhar Ahmed (23 off 17) and Imad Wasim (22 off 13) down the order contributed important runs, they were insufficient to help Pakistan win.
