The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has provided free student entrance for the Pak vs Ban second Test match to attract more young fans. This match at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium from August 30 to September 3 gives students a free chance to watch live cricket.
Pak vs Ban: PCB offers free second Test entry to students
In an official statement, the PCB said this decision was made to encourage students to watch and enjoy cricket, especially between Pakistan and Bangladesh. With cricket becoming more popular among youngsters, this step is likely to bring large crowds and strengthen ties between the sport and the youth.
Students must wear school uniforms and have ID cards to enter for free. This makes the offer student-only and adds discipline and organization. Students can also watch the action from the PCB’s top stadium seats. They may use the VIP enclosures named after cricket icons Imran Khan and Javed Miandad, depending on seat availability. Premium enclosures named after Miran Baksh, Shoaib Akhtar, Sohail Tanvir, and Yasir Arafat are also available to students.
This project follows Bangladesh’s 10-wicket win against Pakistan in the first Test match. Bangladesh leads the two-match Test series 1-0, making the second Test crucial for both teams. Pakistan can tie the series, while Bangladesh can win a historic series on Pakistani territory. The 2023-25 ICC World Test Championship adds to the match’s stakes.
Students get free entrance, but not to all seating locations!
This price excludes PCB Gallery and Platinum Box seating. Other fans can buy tickets online through the PCB’s official ticketing partner or at TCS express facilities in Rawalpindi. Premium enclosure tickets cost Rs200 and VIP enclosure tickets cost Rs500 on weekdays and Rs600 on weekends, which is acceptable.
The PCB Gallery pass costs Rs2,800 and includes lunch and tea for a more deluxe experience. Platinum box tickets cost Rs12,500 and include lunch and tea. A Rs200,000 full hospitality box offers the best action views and is all-inclusive.
The PCB also offers free shuttle buses on match days as part of its fan-friendly policy. This service will have two routes to make the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium accessible. First route from Aviation Ground, Rawal Road, Murree Road to Allama Iqbal Park Entrance Gate; second from Government Satellite Town College for Boys on 6th Road, Murree Road.
Overall, the PCB’s free student entry is a good way to get kids into cricket. The PCB promotes cricket and gives prospective fans the thrill of live matches by offering this option. The second Test match promises strong energy, enthusiasm, and a new generation of cricket fans cheering from the stands.
